Our turkeys are grown to maturity, they take from 6-11 months of growing to reach maturity. We have both Toms and Hens. They are 100% free range. Our turkeys are grown on grass, clover, fruits, veggies, home grown grubs, herbs, greens, native weeds, wild grasses, high quality seeds and have an abundance of fresh, clean water available at all times.

Our beautiful Turkeys have very nice, clean housing with large, spacious coops with clean, dry bedding, they also have outside roosts. During the hot months, the free range is equipped with misters which act as a swamp cooler, this offers them relief from the summer heat.

ABOUT THE PASTURE.

We grow a Certified Naturally Grown and Certified Organic, NON-G.M.O pasture every year, filled with a lush variety of greens, wild flowers, native vegetation and grasses. Once the turkey poults come out of their brooders, they are started on a clean, delicious, wholesome pasture.

HARVESTING - PACKAGING AND SHIPPING

We harvest and ship fresh. This means that we do not have giant, commercial freezers to store poultry, nor do we rent cold storage. Therefore, we work diligently around the clock to select the highest quality birds, humanely harvest, properly chill, package, label and ship your turkeys to you, so that they arrive on or before, the Wednesday, before Thanksgiving.

We chill the turkeys to withstand up to 48 hours of safe, unrefrigerated shipping. The freshest, most delicious heritage turkeys available on today's market, anywhere.

We ship turkeys on the Monday before Thanksgiving. If you live in Southern or Central California, your turkey will be shipped U.P.S. Ground and is expected to arrive within 24 hours of being shipped. If you live in Northern California or out of state, your turkey will be shipped, U.P.S. Next Day Air, and is expected to arrive within 24 hours of being shipped.

Sometimes, due to the holiday rush, there may be delays in receiving your turkey by Tuesday. No worries, we chill turkeys to withstand up to 48 hours of unrefrigerated shipping. It is important that you track your turkey until it arrives. You will get a UPS, Quantum View email that has your tracking number attached. In case of delays, if your turkey does not arrive by Tuesday 9:00pm, it should arrive on Wednesday by 9:00pm.

In very rare cases, turkeys can be delayed, lost, stolen or damaged when being shipped via U.S.P.S, U.P.S. FED-EX etc. We are not responsible for this, we are a small family farm and are not responsible for cargo companies transportation mistakes or delays. If your turkey does not arrive by Tuesday 9:00pm, simply call the farm 1-760-868-6206 no later than Tuesday 10:00pm(before thanksgiving) and we will work something out for you.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE

We offer U.P.S., Fed-Ex and U.S.P.S. shipping services. You may also use your own shipper number (third party billing) with U.P.S. or Fed-Ex. You decide which shipping provider to trust your turkey with, and you decide Ground, 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air services. TURKEY PICK-UP

We offer turkey pick-up on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, the location and time of pick-up will be emailed out to all farm members 4 weeks prior to the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

WHAT BREED IS YOUR TURKEY

We do not guarantee specific breeds. It is simply not possible. You may want a 22.0lb Royal Palm hen, well, we may not get a 22.0lb R.P. hen. We try our best to get you the size you need, not a particular breed or sex. Free range, grass fed, heritage bird sizes are unpredictable, However, each turkey will be tagged on the sealed part of the bag with an abbreviation of the turkey breed and weight, the box also will be marked with an abbreviation of the turkey breed and weight. Here are the abbreviations:

WH = White Holland

SOFB = Standard Bronze

RGW = Rio Grande Wild

RP = Royal Palm

BR = Bourbon Red

NARR = Narragansett

CHOC = Chocolate

SB = Spanish Black
